Lifecycles (BLOGtober!)

Well, it’s that time of the year again. For the month of October, I’ll be posting each day on here. Keep in mind that I live in Hawaii and I’m 5 hours off from central USA.

It’s hard to find something new or interesting to write about. My life lately has been moving in a boring cycle. It involves getting up at the same time each day, eating breakfast, going to work, coming home, and going to sleep. Everyone falls into cycles occasionally. Hopefully for shorter times. I can’t wait to get out of this one. It’s been a weird funk.

Living in Hawaii is still strange. Continental USA is started to cool off and the leaves are changing to yellows and oranges. Winter is approaching and I feel left out of the loop. Growing up in a cold climate like Minnesota makes the seasons feel like a lifecycle. Here I am on an island with a never ending summer. Surely some kind of insanity will ensue.

With that being said, I’m not depressed. I feel a little bummed to miss out on hoodie weather but I know I’ll appreciate the warmer temperatures when January comes around. After all, it is Hawaii.

The next few months have gotten me excited. Tonight the Editors released a new album (Spotify link). There aren’t any links for streaming yet but I’ll post a link when it comes out on Spotify. Next month one of my favorite comics is releasing an omnibus. Fallout 4 comes out in November and backwards compatibility should be out for Xbox One as well. In December, “The White Donkey” is due for public release. It’s just got me excited for the future. Maybe not my wallet but there’s a lot of stuff coming out.

Anyways, there’s day one of BLOGtober!
