This morning I woke up with the intention of having a relaxed, lay-in-bed, sort of day. Instead, I spend most of the afternoon running around, making guac, and keeping busy. Nothing particularly productive came out of the busyness.

Oh look, here’s a fancy picture of my super great cooking skillz:

Wow, doesn’t that look delicious already?

After I finished running around buying ingredients, I spent another hour and a half cooking salmon! It tasted awesome but it took forever to prepare.

Somehow the entire afternoon disappeared. Frivolous tasks that create busyness, but lack productivity, seem to dominate my weekends. It’s almost as though I’m so rushed during the week that when the weekend finally arrives, I don’t know how to relax.

Tomorrow I intend on doing nothing. I’m going to lay in bed for an hour with the goal of being idle. Maybe the day will include a few books and some time scrolling through Tumblr. There aren’t any plans.

*breathes an exasperatingly long sigh*

Oh, this morning I tossed yesterday’s photo into VSCO on my phone and re-edited it to look like this:

“When someone won’t let you in, eventually you stop knocking.” -Ransom Riggs

It’s a bit darker but I think it helps focus attention on the door.

Anywho, as this 365 starts kicking into gear, I’m gonna try the whole ‘social media craze’. If you use any of these sites, toss me a message and say “hi”.
